What A Weekend!

Our engineer weekend didn't start off too well. No one wanted to play along and on top of that TF2 released a new map. So anyway, what we managed to convince the server to do was to go ALL OUT MELEE! Here's some screens:

Sunday was slightly better, I think we proper pissed the 5th Company after we went all out engineers and started fortifying our base. This inspired everyone to do something completely lame and gh3y. We got Mut and Xeon to build porters in out intel room and Q and I built SGs facing the porters. Here are some screenies of the misadventure!

Our second customer! Took longer to go down and actually destroyed my dispenser. Super lame fun.

In other news, we would like to introduce the 3 new additions to our ranks. Selr, Xeon and Duece. All equally quirky and yet, still decently good at using a keyboard and mouse. Welcome aboard!

Appointments, Awards and A New Spray

While we're all getting psyched up about tomorrow's farewell meetup, I thought I'd update everyone on the inner-workings of XsT.

Seeing how XsT is once again becoming increasingly active, the challenge of management is no longer only on the weight of one person in the Team. We're looking for more people to help keep the blog active and to help manage outings. Currently, it's usually just Brendan, Sum and I who sort out the logistics of outings and future events. We're looking towards cross-clan outings and some other collaborated events, I forsee that whoever signs up will have to talk to DEQUAN (heaven have mercy on your soul!) We can't offer you much, but you get a cool looking title and logo for yourself!

The current crew, myself included.

Also, seeing how we can't figure out how to work the "Player Of The Week" in our steam group (it's always Raj LOL), we're handing out some of our own awards to the members whom we felt have performed exceptionally:

Hopefully, we'll be doing this quarterly (but if you'd like an award, we'll try and make-up one for you, we make up all our awards anyway) A big grats to this season's awarded players!

Lastly, I've put together the second spray to compliment the anti-HW campaign. However, I'm still trying to work out how to convert them all to a stable format for everyone to download. If anyone has solutions or ideas, please speak up.

Forum Introductions and a short send off.

Greetings all,

Gamesync forums have asked we do a short intro on XsT on their forums and I would like to get a general consensus before we write anything.

I would think its a fair way of saying hello to a community that we will be part of for another 8 years (goodness... 16 years)

(thanks to rat for the heads up.)

On another note,
A few of our team will return to their pursuit of knowledge, a degree, money and women.(unless they own up they are g4y).

They are in no particular order: Sick, Massacre and Stupendous.

I would like to ask if people are free to meet up and cram into e2max again before they all leave home sweet home.

This is on short notice and I know our dear recruit will only make Sundays so we have two real choices 20th of Jan and 3rd of February. I omit 27th Jan because I CANNOT make it as i have classes from 1000hrs to 1700hrs that day.

XsT 2008 Propaganda Sprays

Edit: I realised something, if I am not wrong you can't have sprays that are not in "square pixels" (e.g. 640x480, 1024x768, even screen resolutions) Hence, I'll be converting these into more appropriate resolutions. Meanwhile, I prepared one more spray...

Custom Maps

Title says it all! After 3hours of TF2ing, overwhelmed with boredom i decided to hunt for some TF2 duel old maps we're all familiar with.

Currently in the midst of testing some of the maps with Massacre, hope they work. Have problems hosting atm though... update you guys in abit!

Okay... so after 2 hours of trying to SETUP a server just to try out the new maps, we gave up. sv_lan 0 and sv_lan 1 for some strange reason, gives the same result. (no heartbeat, no authentication, no non-class C users)... what the !%^# ???

On a lighter side, the maps looked great! Brought back a couple of old memories; warpath, epicenter, well, and a couple of rocket/pipe jump maps.

If anyone is free to fiddle around with the settings and setting a host server up - and manages to get one working, please let us know:) Thanks! Back to reality(school) now...

The story so far.

So team fortress 2 turned out to be a success. Though there are kinks that need to be worked out, and we are still feeling the void without the grenade ruckus, we have to admit that it was the only cause for the revival of team based gaming and our beloved clan.

This is just some of snapshots of my eventful gibbing these past month.
